Vision Home Eye Clinic (Zhongshan Branch)

Amidst the highly homogenized commercial wave, eye clinics often face two extreme temptations: degenerating into an "eyewear supermarket" piled with shelves, or filling the space with highly saturated cartoon elements to cater to the children's market.

In the Vision Home Eye Clinic project, which primarily targets a teenage demographic, we opted for a "de-stylized" approach. We rejected the mass-produced, stacked design products of the previous generation, eschewing short-sighted "Fashion" to build a "Classic" that withstands the test of time.

We believe that children's inner worlds should not be filled with preset colors. Instead, we prefer to use white space to provide them with a "blank canvas" full of imagination. Meanwhile, this concise white strips away the noise of traditional eyewear markets, returning to the cleanliness, rigor, and professionalism that a medical clinic ought to possess.

What we showcase are not just glasses or eye drops, but professional solutions for "vision."

Facing the limitation of a narrow storefront in the original architecture, we did not rush to push the facade to the red line, but did the opposite—creating a recessed small foyer.

This "retreat" not only mitigates the spatial constraint but also releases a psychological buffer zone for customers, naturally drawing the mall's pedestrian flow indoors. In the surrounding noisy and colorful commercial environment, this touch of ultimate white conversely becomes the strongest visual memory.

Pushing open this door of "subtraction," what welcomes customers is a "Vision Home Planet" full of futuristic metaphors. We extracted visual elements from the brand's logo, crafting a suspended planet shape on the ceiling, while a stainless steel art sculpture stands on the ground.

The echo between heaven and earth forms an absolute visual anchor in the space. We used an abstract and simple design language to replace concrete cartoon stickers, which not only responds to teenagers' desire to explore the future but also sets the brand's tone of "the intersection of technology and aesthetics."

Stepping into the core area, you will find: products are weakened, and the space is opened up. Unlike traditional stores itching to cram every shelf, we define this place as a "Professional Eye Care Exhibition Hall."

The ceiling extensively uses a gridded soft-film to simulate the most natural diffuse skylight. This is not only for aesthetic transparency but also to provide a shadowless, non-glaring professional lighting environment in the preliminary examination area.

The product display area utilizes warm wood finishes as a base, forming a warm-cold contrast with the overall technological white. Eyewear and eye care products are delicately displayed as "exhibits." This negative space, simplifying the complex, aims to return customers' attention to the "diagnosis" and "experience" themselves.

If the "squareness" of the outer field represents medical rigor, then the "roundness" of the inner field conveys the brand's warmth. When delving into the more private optometry and diagnostic areas, the rigid straight lines are gradually replaced by soft arcs.

Streamlined light strips guide the circulation like flowing water, dissolving the tension and coldness that traditional medical spaces might bring. This design language of "harmony in difference"—the coexistence of the outer field's sense of order and the inner field's sense of flow—leaves a profound brand memory for consumers.

How can we make professional eye care knowledge reach users without looking like a blunt advertisement? Our answer is: let the walls "speak." In the corridor of the mall's outer facade, we designed a set of folded structural walls.

This undulating structure not only increases the display area but also utilizes the principle of visual refraction, allowing passing pedestrians to be naturally attracted by the eye structure diagrams and eye care knowledge from any angle.

We firmly believe that in building brand power, the space should not overshadow the host but should become a solid container bearing professional reputation.

Through de-stylization, appropriate white space, and precise control of the lighting environment, we hope to create a timeless classic space for Vision Home. Here, the rhythm is slowed down, interference is filtered, leaving only the purest pursuit of a "clear vision."
